Plan2Heat final report - from heat planning to implementation

The heating transition presents cities, municipalities, and counties with the challenge of translating strategic goals into concrete and viable projects. In other words: putting municipal heating planning into action.

As part of the Plan2Heat project, project partners from Hesse and Denmark worked together from January 2025 to August 2026 to clarify the prerequisites for concrete project implementation and to develop a solid basis for decision-making. The report summarizes key lessons learned from the project and shares valuable insights from Eschwege: from effective communication and the financing of heating networks to the role of cooperatives.
